What is a Millennial?

An abbreviation of “The Millennial Generation”, Millennials are used to describe people born between 1980 and 2000. Often referred to as “Generation Y”, the millennial generation was born after the world war II baby boomer generation.

Approximately 40% of the millennial generation are African American, Latino, Asian.

Based on research by the US Census, in the US there are about 76 million millennials.

It is estimated that as much as 20% of Millennials have one immigrant as a parent.

Millennials are the first generation that are predicted by the Center for American Progress to do less well financially than their parents.

The Millennial generation likes to keep on the cutting edge of technology. They are the first generation to grow up with the Internet, and remain technologically savvy.
